The Mah Na Mah Na Phenomenon
This is the end of New Year's Day 2012. There are no deep and moving or deeply though provoking things going on here, so read it at your own risk of bordem.
Today was almost a completely normal day where everyone is off from work or school. Almost in that Natalie didn't spend all day working on lesson plans and neither Sam nor Jake had a last minute project to finish. And almost normal in that I don't normally put away the outside Christmas decorations (lights and such).
Something new to the normal routine is Natalie sitting on the new recliner, playing with her new phone.
Natalie enjoys having somewhat different ringtones on her phone. For the longest time, her last phone had the opening credits music for Eureka as her ringtone. Eventually, she came to think that it was too hard to hear in her purse, so it eventually was something else. But you get the idea.
About 2 days about, she thought that what she wanted for her ringtone was at least part of the Muppets Mah Na Mah Na as her ringtone. Tonight, she made that happen.
We haven't seen the new Muppet movie, yet (maybe tomorrow), but the boys have a long history of brining Muppet humor when it's appropriate. Currently, every time anyone says anything that even sounds like Mah Na Mah Na, they end up breaking into the rest of the song. This has given rise to something we now call the Mah Na Mah Na Phenomenon. Mostly, the name is due to someone saying Phenomenon in just the right way and triggering a "dah da dah da da" cycle. Now, of course, all of us live in fear of what will happen at school should a teacher "accidentially" use that word during a class.
We all know it is going to eventually happen. I fully expect that Sam will fall on the floor laughing while Jake would just sing the song.
